We recognize ourselves as part of a larger web of life – the mountains, the oceans, and all beings who share this loving Earth with us. These relationships call us to a continual practice of learning how to belong here well. We carry that call into our work, and into our practice of beauty, ceremony, and care.
We make our home in the traditional, unceded territory of the Lisjan Ohlone people, the original and ongoing stewards of this land we call Oakland. We hold the painful histories of colonization with open eyes, and we honor the Indigenous communities who have never ceased their kinship with these places.
