Tattooing is one of Monica’s most intimate art practice, drawing from ornamental design, the natural world, and folk art across cultures. She approaches tattoos as markers of transition, a way of setting an intention or a memory into the skin. Each piece is developed slowly in relationship with the person receiving it.
